What?

I got the opportunity to work with the Alumni Department of the organization. The main objective of the alumni department of the university is to develop effective and productive processes and strategies to improve alumni engagement. This is one of the processes that is used by the organization to develop the financial resources of the organization. This opportunity is highly important to focus on the learning process to understand all the processes and methods to be productive in the alumni department of the university. In the alumni management, process different approaches are used by the alumni department of the university to develop a better relationship with the alumni of the university. Learning is most important to develop knowledge regarding processes that are used in the department. This department was completely new to me and I do not have any prior experience in the field of alumni engagement (Lin and Chen, 2017). The practices are used to develop engagement strategies for the university. I have observed various processes, methods, and tools that are used by the seniors to make effective communication with the alumni of the university. There are different engagement approaches are used in the department to develop better relationships with the alumni of institutes.

So What?

This training program is highly important to me. The main purpose of the training program is to develop and improve some crucial skills that are important for a professional in the corporate. The skills I am working on this in the training or internship are teamwork, problem-solving skills, work ethics skills, adaptability skills, communication skills, responsibility skills, and time management skills. This is a really difficult task to learn all these skills within a short period (Athey, 2018). It this important for me to focus on the learning process and learning capability to take actions accordingly. This is important to implement the proper process in the training program to increase the effectiveness of the learning program. This is important for me to focus on the learning process to develop all the skills effectively. In the training process, I also have to focus on the range of practice to meet all the requirements. It was a good experience for me and I have experienced a lot of things in the training process.In the learning process, I have practically worked on various software and process that are used by the university department to develop an effective strategy to improve the engagement with alumni of the institute. The learning process in the training process helped me to learn new things that are important for an effective career in the corporate. This is how I have learned a lot of things in the training program at the alumni department of the university. The experiences that I have gained in the training program are crucial for learning. I have evaluated that in the training period. In the internship process, I have analysed that learning skills are highly critical to understand the practices and processes that are developed to improve alumni engagement. In the learning process, I have used both visual and sceptical learning with social interpersonal learning process to effectively learn different things that are related to strategy development for alumni engagement.

Now What?

This is was a challenging situation for me to comply with various things that are associated with the learning process in the training period at the alumni department (Noroozi, Pirsiavash, and Favaro, 2017). After the training process, I am working on the processes, methods, and software I have learned in the process. To address the challenges that I have faced while working on this software. All the abilities to learn that I have developed in the internship program are highly crucial for a professional career and I can use this skill and ability to learn new things to understand and learn practices that are used in the business organization to meet the business objectives.Further, I can target the area of development that I have analysed in the internship. Learning skills that are developed in an internship can be utilised to get the dream job in a business organization.

  1. Reflection on professional reasoning or critical thinking 

What?

Critical thinking and professional rezoning are two important aspectsofa professional career. In my opinion, professional reasoning is important for the person to manage various operations within the department to develop an effective strategy to engage the alumni with the organization. The role of professional reasoning is important for accuracy and preciseness in the operations (Elder and Paul, 2020). This is challenging for the alumni department to handle all the operations efficiently. I have analysed that it is a challenging process for an individual to maintain high-level practices in the development of strategies that are important to develop positive interaction with the alumni. In the internship, I have seen various practices that are important to gain higher productivity in the operations. Professional reasoning is important within the department to maintain effective quality in the whole process. This is all about the execution of various operations to meet the strategic goals. In the professional reasoning, various aspects that are considered in the alumni department are related to the planning, directing and developing a process to meet the objectives of the department. All the targets are considered by the senior leaders in the department to develop the proper strategy in the department. I have seen that role of professional reasoning is important to execute all the tasks effectively to get better results for the efforts of the department. Along with professional reasoning, this is also important for the individual to have critical thinking skill to analyse the situation effectively and contribute effectively within the actions of the team. Critical thinking is important for the execution of plans that are developed by the leaders in the team. The role of critical thinking in the team is to improve the overall outcomes of the team. For the development of alumni handling strategy, this is important for the individual to have critical thinking skill to get a better result. I have observed that, people who are developing a strategy to meet the objectives of the department.

So What?

All the aspects that I have observed in the training process related to professional reasoning and critical thinking are highly important for the development of better strategies to improve alumni handling (DELIU , 2020). Better alumni handling can help the organization to get higher financial and moral support from them. In the training process, I have learned various aspects related to professional reasoning and critical thinking. Professional reasoning and critical thinking skills that I have developed in the alumni department are important for my professional career. Without this professional reasoning and critical thinking skill, this is not possible to manage all the tasks efficiently in the department and develop effective strategies to improve the relationship with alumni. Professional reasoning skill is important to make a proper observation for the specific task in planning, directing, and managing various operations in the department. I have analysed that professional reasoning skill is important to improve decision-making skills. Professional reasoning skill can help the person to direct the team effectively and develop productive strategies. Critical thinking skills are also crucial in a professional career. I have analysed that critical thinking skill is important to analyse the challenges that are faced by the department in the development of effective strategy and deal with challenges that are faced by the team in developing product strategies. This is how the internship period was highly productive for me and I have worked on professional reasoning skill and critical thinking skill. These skills can help me to fulfil all responsibilities within the team.In the internship Process, I have also performed a personal skill assessment to identify the area of development that can be focused to develop professional reasoning and critical thinking skills.

Now What?

In the internship, I have worked on professional reasoning skills and critical thinking skills to be efficient at planning and directing operations along with improving skills to solve problems efficiently (Kahlke and Eva, 2018). The skills that I have developed in the internship are helpful to develop a positive career in future.The areas that are identified for development in future, can be targeted to enhance professional reasoning skills and critical thinking skills.

  1. Reflection on motivation

What?

Motivation is most important in any organization to maintain the performance of employees in the organization and develop a productive environment in the workplace. in my experience, I have observed that in the alumni department role of motivational factor is most important. This is important for the team members to communicate with the alumni with warn greeting to develop a positive impact on them. The environment of the department is important to keep all people motivate and encouraged while performing various operations in the organization. In the alumni department, various factors have been considered to develop a positive environment in the workplace (Kanfer, Frese and Johnson, 2017). The major factors that I have observed in the alumni department are related to effective communication within the workplace. Different mode of communication is used in the department. The role of communication is most crucial to develop a positive environment in the department. This is important to convey the purpose of the department and help the team members to stay aware of the goals of the department. This is how a high-performance standard can be achieved in the team. In my opinion leaders in the alumni department are not only focusing on the office environment, they are also concerned about the work that is divided within the team. Task allotment within the team is also based on the capability of the team and team members. I have observed that leaders within the team are also considering equality factor in the team to provide equal opportunities to the team members to improve their performance within different operations. In the team, the growth and development of each team members are ensured to keep them motivated in the department.

So What?

 I have analysed that, motivational factors are highly crucial to improve the performance of team members in different operations. In my opinion,the role of motivation is most important for the performance of the team members in the alumni department. Team members can be motivated to give their 100% in the operations. I have observed that the motivation factor is helpful for the organization and alumni department to retain experienced and skilled employees for a longer time (Dornyei, 2020).A better relationship can be developed between team members.An effective relationship between the employees and management to generate higher productivity in the operations. Motivational factors are also important to improve the situation handling process in the department. Sometimes team have to face various issues that are related to the alumni and this is challenging for the team to deal with these issues. This is challenging for the team to appropriately handle the situation and retain employees for a longer time. According to my observation, team motivation is important to develop various ideas and address the problem efficiently. The motivational environment is also important to encourage team members to develop a collaborative environment in the department. This motivation and encouragement can help the team members to effectively deal with the various issues that are faced in the learning practices. I have analysed that it is highly challenging for the leaders in the department to maintain high-level motivation. I have learned various approaches and processes that can be used by the people in the team management process to keep the employees encouraged to work with higher quality.

Now What?

 AS per the experience that I have gained in the internship program, motivation is one of the most important factors that can affect the performance of a person (Lin and Chen, 2017). If the environment in the team is motivating then it can increase the productivity of the entire team and it also allows them to effectively deal with the alumni. Higher motivation can help the department to get better financial and moral support from alumni and maintain proper alumni engagement in the organization.
