E-cycle is one of the specialized bicycles with the advancement of electric motors, where the demand for these e-cycles is increasing day by day and through the production of the e-cycles is the determining factor for many organizations. In this report, the main discussion will be on the e-cycle production and their issues management in order to provide an effective service to the customers and deliver their needy product on time. This will also be supported through the discussion of quality management where the quality of the product will be managed well for effective service management. In this report, the discussion will be based on different elements such as organizational issues related to the product quality and their resolve process, result in an analysis of the currency production and the possible ways as a recommendation that will help the organization to provide a beneficial service to the customers and organization.

Background

Braeheart e-bikes are one of the famous organizations that produce specialized bicycles with the advancement of electric motors. This organization was started in the year 2014, and in the year 2020 the bicycle production reached 5500 bicycles per annum and they were ready to be sold at a high price. Due to the pandemic situation of Covid-19, the demand for e-cycles has been increased and this led to the higher production of the cycles (Conboy et al. 2020). They produce 6 different types of e-bicycles that include 6 different models, along with the different electronic components, and different mechanical components.

Existed issues and their effects

It is already discussed that Braeheart e-bikes are a well-known company that manufactures specialized bicycles with the use of electric motors. This organization began in 2014, and by 2020, bicycle production had increased to 5500 per year, and the bikes were ready to be sold at a high price. The demand for e-cycles has surged as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic, resulting in increased manufacture of the cycles. With the advent of electric motors, the demand for these specialist bicycles is expanding day by day, and the manufacture of these e-cycles is the decisive factor for many firms (Adam, 2018). Though this is one of the well-established organizations there are some major issues in this organization's production service, and these different issues have a major impact on the organizational service and reputation that need to be resolved for a successful outcome of the organization.

After observing the organizational service and management there are several issues and challenges that are found in the area of organizational history. In this organization, the main issue is regarding the quality of the management, where there have been several tests for quality control (Ko and Gillani, 2020). This has resulted in the total quality score for the bicycles that have been produced here, and according to this quality score, it is observed that most of the product is not able to reach the 10 quality scores, where few bicycles have only achieved this score. Quality scores for many of the products are less than 70, which prove that the quality of the products is a major issue of the organization. Staff feels that this quality issue of the organization is the main reason for the complaints of the customers that are increasing in the year 2020, which refers to the fact that the quality of the products is reducing every year and that is the reason more complaints are coming out from the customer's side. Challenge for Production needs is another issue of the organization, where production is not taking place according to the demand of the customers. Customer satisfaction is one of the essential areas for the organization, where the organization is not able to fulfill the demand of its customers (Wickramasinghe, 2020). There are many new orders and that is the reason customer complaints are increasing day by day. There is an issue of getting the delivery of the order, where customers need to wait for a long time to get the order; this is caused by the poor time management.

The above table/figure contains the statistical result of the One Way ANOVA, which will discuss the quality data of the e-bicycles. In this table for the element of the dispatch date, the value of the sum of squares is 912757336011517820.000, and the df value is 11006, where the F value is .816, and sig value is .538. In this table for the element of electric motor, the value of the sum of squares is 8944.373, and the df value is 11006, where the F value is 840954.697, and sig value is .000. In this table for the element of quality score, the value of the sum of squares is 1085631.664, and the df value is 11006, where the F value is 349.890, and the sig value is .000. In this table for the element of complaint, the value of the sum of squares is 7448.348, and the df value is 11006, where the F value is 30.222, and the sig value is .000. In this table for the element of order waiting days, the value of the sum of squares is 2928069.242, and the df value is 11006, where the F value is 1.536, and the sig value is .175. After analyzing this table it can be said that e-bicycles need to be improved in quality where electric motors will be improved, through that quality score of the product will be increased and the company of customers will be reduced (Zhang et al. 2019). These all factors are also related to the waiting time for the product purchasing, where customers need to wait for the product delivery, they need to have a proper managing system through that the organization will be able to provide the service effectively to the customer.

The above table/figure contains the statistical result of the t-test, which will discuss the data of the e-bicycles regarding the new orders of the cycles. In this table there are two variables such as model and date, where for the model of the product, the t value is 213.040, df value is 11417, where the mean difference value is 3.314, and the lower value is 3.28 with the upper value of 3.34. For the model of the product, the t value is 170786.145, the df value is 11417, where the mean difference value is 159869 06:52:01.387, and the lower value is 26th June 2020 along with the upper value of 30th June 2020 (Al-Achi, 2019). In this table the data of the different models for e-cycles have been analyzed along with the date, this refers to the fact that mode number 3 has the highest order where model numbers 4 and 5 also have a good number of orders compared to the other model numbers.

The above table/figure contains the statistical result of the chi-square test, which will discuss the data of the e-bicycles regarding the training of the staff. The above table has two main factors such as quality score before training and quality score after training, where the quality score before training refers to the score of the product quality before the provided training to the staff, and quality score after training refers to the score of the product quality after the provided training to the staff (Alavi, et al. 2020). This is proved that the training of the staff is the determining factor for the organization's quality improvement process, where the quality of the product will be developed automatically.

Recommendation

  • They need to have a proper management system so that the organization will be able to provide effective service to the customer, where the waiting time for the product purchase will be reduced and the customer will get the delivery of the product.
  • They need to improve the quality of the product in order to maintain the organizational reputation. They need to train the staff's wheel through training the staff. The staffing efficiency will be increased and that will help for organizational production.
  • Organizations need to assure the quality of the product and that is the reason they should continue monitoring the organizational production service. It will help them to identify the issue of the production and mitigate the issue for effective production service in the organization.

Conclusion

The focus of this report was on e-cycle production and issues management in order to give an effective service to clients and timely delivery of their required goods. This is also supported by a discussion on quality management, in which the product's quality will be carefully managed for successful service management. After analyzing the result of the organization it can be said that the key difficulty in this organization is the management's quality, which has been subjected to many quality control examinations. This has resulted in a total quality score for the bicycles made here and based on this score, it can be seen that the majority of the products are unable to attain the 10 quality level, with only a few bicycles achieving this number. They need to focus on customer satisfaction as it is considered as one of the most important areas for an organization to focus on when it is unable to meet the demands of its customers. There are a lot of new orders, which is why client complaints are increasing every day. There is an issue with order delivery, where clients must wait a long time to receive their orders, which is caused by bad time management. Quality of the products is reducing every year and that is the reason more complaints are coming out from the customer's side.
