Scientists have developed more simple inventions and technologies to reduce the environmental impact of fuels(Kapustin, and Rakov, 2018). Electric automobiles are the future of road transportation since they cut pollution. It is not only the emissions from ICE automobiles' tailpipes that contributes to pollution. Extraction of oil, refinement into gasoline, and transportation to gas stations contribute significantly to pollution in the atmosphere. This kind of pollution is called upstream or well-to-wheel emissions(Kapustin, and Rakov, 2018). Though contemporary ICE manufacturers have reduced CO2 emissions, the production process continues to have a detrimental influence on the environment; despite this progress, Emissions from the manufacture of EV batteries are also released into the atmosphere. In reality, the manufacturing process for electric vehicles may be more environmentally damaging than that of internal combustion engines. Because of the greater sustainability of their whole life cycle, electric vehicles (EVs) are still the cleanest mode of transportation. Driving offsets the greater industrial emissions since it uses energy as fuel(Anastasiadou et al., 2021).

Global warming is the subject of the most passionate disputes in the world today. People in several nations throughout the world are working on methods to minimise their carbon footprints. Global warming has resulted in a variety of climatic shifts. Greenhouse gases have been released into the environment via the usage of automobiles for decades. There will be negative consequences if the threat is not dealt with quickly (Anastasiadou et al., 2021). What are the options for our transportation networks as the effects of global warming continue to worsen? Electric automobiles have been suggested as a way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Reduced air quality caused by greenhouse gas emissions puts people at risk of respiratory illness. Since electric vehicles don't burn fossil fuels, they have no impact on global warming. Even though electric automobiles have a small environmental effect, there is still discussion over whether they can be ecologically responsible and more efficient because of their absence of fossil fuel usage. When powered by nonrenewable resources, electric vehicles pose a risk to the environment. With its low carbon footprint, reduction in noise pollution, and use of renewable energy sources, electric care might have a minimum effect on the environment. This is because it minimises global emissions, which have led to the present global climate shift. I will talk about the environmental effects and workings of driving technology (Ruiz et al., 2018).

A well-functioning ecosystem is what maintains the planet's ecological harmony. This equilibrium may be maintained by the employment of measures that minimise carbon dioxide emissions. The use of electric vehicles may help us positively reduce our carbon footprints. The phrase "carbon footprint" refers to the total amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted into the atmosphere due to all human activities, including industrial and nonmanufacturing ones. It is crucial to have electric automobiles since they don't have combustible engines that emit pollution into the air. CO2 is released into the atmosphere by combustible engines. According to the analysis from (Kolbasov et al., 2021), electric vehicle battery manufacturing nations have a greater influence on greenhouse gas emissions. There's no other place for it to occur but throughout the production process. This implies that electric vehicles are more environmentally friendly than vehicles powered by internal combustion engines throughout their useful lives. Diesel engines have long-term carbon footprints. Electric automobiles are better for the environment, but they don't completely protect the environment from climate change.

As per the study by Jansson, and Hofmockel (2020), Climate change is a pressing problem that will not disappear anytime soon. For those who don't know what climate change is, it's a long-term shift in global or regional weather patterns. The usage of fossil fuels, such as the exhaust from vehicles and trucks, the burning of waste, and the emissions from factories, is a major contributor to climate change. Global warming, the progressive rise in the temperature of Earth's atmosphere, is caused in part by these phenomena. In the Arctic, this is particularly true. Some of the implications of global warming in the Arctic include increasing air and ocean temperatures. Another effect of rising temperatures is the loss of sea ice and the melting of ice sheets. As a result, Arctic flora and animals are dying at an alarming rate, and their populations are in danger of dwindling to the point of extinction(Ahmed,2020). The water level is rising as a result of the melting ice sheets killing the animal population.

Electric automobiles are charged using renewable energy. There are no limits on where it may be done: at home, at work, and even while travelling. Solar energy and hydroelectric power from water print are examples of renewable sources. This argument disproves the assertion that electric vehicle batteries are made from sources that release carbon dioxide. In my opinion, electric automobiles are more advantageous than diesel engines that are fuelled by fossil fuels. The environment is significantly safer when renewable energy sources are employed instead of climate-damaging nonrenewables (Neill et al., 2020). As the last point, global warming is here to stay. Our transportation sector contributes to a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions. There should be regulations to encourage the usage of renewable energy sources, such as electric automobiles, by the MPs and the federal government. Implementing the policies in education is essential. There is an increasing number of students that are interested in researching renewable energy sources.
