Improvement is required by all the individuals, but knowing their strengths and weaknesses is going to help them be able to have higher benefits in the future. The Gibbs model has been used here to reflect on existing key skills, like communication, time management, and teamwork.

LO 1: Personal and professional development plan

There are a lot of activities which are present and there are six stages that are going to be discussed in the further report.

Description

First, understanding my goals is very important, and the skills that are going to make me able to achieve those goals are very essential. Businesses in the market all need the right skills, which they have to develop to be able to have success. Understanding people and their behaviour is very important for the human resource professional, which is going to take place through observation, and this skill also has to be developed in me (Hullinger, DiGirolamo, and Tkach, 2020). However, currently, my skills in time management are not good; they are poor, so I need to make a specific plan in order to develop the right skills.

  • Feelings: It felt that, continuing the development of skills and abilities was a very mandatory task for me because, after having many well-developed skills, I could simply improve my personality and professionalism. Knowing the comfort ability is very essential to be able to have the right working and processing and make sure that the communication skill is also well developed (Cross, 2018). I was lacking one skill the most, which was communication, since I am used to working individually, and that made me not be able to communicate effectively.
  • Evaluation: There are a lot of evaluation platforms that are present online as well as offline and can be used by an individual to make sure that there is right working that is present. For teamwork as well, there are a lot of new methods which are present and for this as well, there is going to be the right use of different aspects. To be able to achieve the career goals for the future, there has to be right styles which are going to put pressure on the staff, and that is not a good factor.

Knowledge and experience are very essential for the group to be able to present the right information, and there has to be a good trait or characteristic which is reflected. There is a lot of knowledge which can be gained from the past assessments or experience, which helps a lot in the future decisions and working.   • Action plan: There are a lot of objectives which I have to achieve therefore having an action plan for personal and professional development is very important for me. Higher the skills more objectives can be developed and higher goals can be achieved for self. There are goals of becoming manager of a reputed company but that is only possible when the personal and professional knowledge and skills are going to be present. There are issues which rise sand they have to be solved on time so that there is going to be better functioning and working which is going to be present.
Skills to develop Timeline Activities to improve Measurement
Time management skills 4 weeks There have to be a lot of task which must be allotted to me so that I can manage them and understand the value of each. I have to not get distracted and focus on the work which I have in hand to be able to achieve the goals. I have to develop these skills for which mayo jar activity is going to help me understand the importance and be able to manage my time as well for a better functioning. I have to develop the tasks according to priorities and performance level so that the task can have a good result in the end (Walker, 2017). Multitasking is a talent which has to be adapted by me so that I can finish the tasks faster and in less time. Tracking the time is important so that there is a better time management which I can do for the other tasks in hand and this is going to be done with the right technique and measures for myself.
Communication skills 3 weeks There is going to be a lot of reading which I would do online and offline so that I can increase the right knowledge and be able to communicate effectively. I have to work on my vocabulary skill as well by seeing and learning from information classes and videos to be able to achieve this skill (Bondar and et.al., 2020). I would ask for help from friends and family so that they can give me honest feedbacks for written and oral communication skills which I am trying to improve since they have an idea of the strengths and weaknesses I have. I also would undergo online tests so that I can ensure my achievement in this skill.
Problem solving skills 6 weeks There is a requirement for me to attend a lot of brainstorming sessions to be able to achieve these skills. I have to participate in a lot of math’s solving and puzzle activities so that I can get the technique of problem solving which is going to be good for a long run. There are aptitude tests online and office which I can participate in so that there is a better evaluation which I can do for myself. There are a lot of challenges which are present and they have to be taken better decision making which are going to be attended by me so that I can understand them and use for the future as well (Ahmed, 2018).
ICT skills 5 weeks Technological field is large and use of this factor is present in all the businesses in the market which is why there is a need for me to develop this skill so that the work can be done in lesser time (Jaeger, 2018). There is going to be a quality and standard of work as well which is going to be present. It is very important for me to use computer everyday so that it gets a part of my life and I can get comfortable with it. The issues with these skills are going to get better and the practice is going to be effective for me as well.

LO 2: CPPD plan

Reflection is going to make sure that there is going to be right understanding of oneself, which is going to help in further development as well. There is going to be continuous improvement so that there is the right working and processing which is present for my future goals. I have to make sure that there is good improvement that is going to be present so that there are better operations (Anderson, 2018). Before an individual has a plan of development for themselves, they have to make sure that they have a good understanding of themselves, which is as follows:.

  • Strengths: I have a good understanding of the field I want to enter, and that is going to make sure that I am highly satisfied with the work. The strength is that I have good teamwork so that there are better operations and working, which is going to be present. I have the right knowledge of the human resource department, which is going to help me be able to have the right knowledge and working (Rughani and et.al., 2017).
  • Weaknesses: Though, I am aware of my future work goals but it is important to know communication, time management, problem solving and ICT skills are lacking in me which is going to affect the working get affected. I need to develop the right skills to be able to make a higher position for myself in this department soon which is going to help me be satisfied as well.
  • Opportunities: Developing my skills or the presence of the existing skills are going to make sure that there are higher achievements that are present, and that is going to be a great factor. Teamwork is going to make sure that there are good responsibilities but if I make sure that the skills are improved, then my overall satisfaction with work is going to be present (Moore, 2018). There are a lot of opportunities which I can have if the skills are going to be right and I can make sure that they are improving with time because there are a lot of improvement that are taking place.
  • Threats: The threat from lacking from skills is that I would not be able to achieve my targets in the career goal and objectives which I have set for myself. Another threat is that there is a lot of competition which is rising in this field as well and it has to be overcome by me to be able to have the right working which is good for me.

The aim I have set for myself is to become the human resource manager at Tesco. This is a reputed company which is also going to help me have a satisfying life and due to its well structured hierarchy I would be able to achieve this aspect as well.

Time Management Skills 2/10/2021 23/10/2021 My time management skills are not good so that I am setting task and time for it which can help me in achieving goals timely. Record beginning and ending task and compare with time that standardize in initial stage. Started scheduling task on Register, copies, notepad, mobile etc. and work accordingly.

All the skills which have been identified above are transferable skills which are that they can be developed with time. IT skills are going to take time and a lot of focus of the individual; to make sure that they have the right aptitude for it. Adaptability has to be present in an individual as well so that they would be able to make sure that they are having the right working and functioning which is going to be a great factor (Holdway and Hitchcock, 2018). Problem-solving has to be present in order to be able to make sure that there is good management which is present so that there is good direction which is present for the employees as well. Guiding the employees is very important for the organization to have so that there are better operations and working which is going to be present. Business strategy has to be present in the individual so that they would be able to guide the people under them which are going to make sure that there is good working (Yurtseven Yilmaz and Sever, 2021). Through transferable skills there is a lot of improvement in coaching, internships, education, etc can be learnt and this is going to be good for the long run as well. By having good skills I would be a great employee in the organization and be able to achieve the goals and targets which I have set for myself.

Having critical thinking is also very important to be able to have the right working and functioning which is going to be present (Moodly and Toni, 2017). Dependability has to be lower on others to guide because as the human resource department manager there are a lot of instant actions which will have to be taken so that there are higher working which is present. It is important to make sure that there are right working so that the company can expect better from me. I have to make sure that I am being able to give in my best as well and for that I have to make sure that I have the right skills and improvement is being done in them from time to time (Allen and et.al., 2019). Collaborative working is not just going to make the pressure on me reduce but all the employees as well and there are higher achievement and opportunities which all the individuals can gain. I have to make sure that I give in my best to be able to have higher working and performance which is present.

It is very important to gain the leadership style, communication, IT skills and problem solving and time management skills for the future as well.
