In this report it will be discussed the business relating system, further it will be discussed the issues that have been faced by the company like employment related issues, innovation related issues, or industrialization related issues. It has been observed that the company operates in the United States of America and China. Also, it will discuss how the business relation can be established to engage in the business for efficient and better performance. Further in the report the recommendation will be provided to the company in order to better operate and mitigate the challenges which have been faced by the company.

2. Business relation

Business relation is a type of connection where any kind of entity exists in the business. It can be said that in the business relation can include customers, stockholders, bankers, investors, employer and any kind of person that engages in the business relation. It has been observed that the social media and online platforms are also a part that gives extra advantages to the company in order to increase the performance and profitability of the company. As stated by Khaldi et al. (2021), it has been identified that some business relationships can help to improve the performance of the company such as “employee relationship, customer’s relationship, competitor relationship, and legal relationship”. In order it can be said that the proper relationship between the stakeholders and investors can help to mitigate the investment related issues, and proper allocation of resources may help the company to work efficiently and effectively (Tello-Leal et al. (2018). On the other hand it has been observed that a mutual relation between the management and employees of the company can provide extra advantages in order to work efficiently and effectively.

The main aim of establishment of business relations is to improve the organizational performance and fulfil the expansion purpose. In order to establish the relation between the customers and business, “research of marketing, high quality products and servicing offering and good marketing strategy” can help. A proper marketing research and analysis of the market will help to understand the demands and needs of the customers and the company will be able to manufacture the products or services as per the customer's choice Mo et al. (2019). Also it can be said that the research process of marketing can help to engage the new customers as well as existing customers. It can be said that the high quality products and services that are offered by the company can attract the consumers as well as new customers that will help to increase the profit margin of the company. In order to increase the value of the company, financial relations are highly required. Poor financial management can arise from lots of issues such as poor financial management and overspending. On the other hand, b financial decisions can help to make profitable decisions and better organizational structure. Also it can be said that the financial adviser can help to mitigate the investment related issues. It has been observed that most of the companies have highly leadership management that helps lead and support the company. A proper feedback process and reaching out process help the company to analyze the arising issues. On the other hand, it can be said that the strategy relationship will help to extend the company in the near future (Grabis, & Kampars (2018).

The Meridian energy Limited is a New Zealand and globally based company which deals in the retailer and electricity generator. It has been observed that the company has gent ere approx 30 % of electricity in the country. Also it has been observed the company is fourth biggest company in the retail industry in the country, where it holds around 14 percent of stake in the relating market. Based on the study it has been elevated that the company has approx 959 employees and it is increasing widely. Based on the reports, it has been observed that the company has around 5082 million of total equity and the total assets of this company are $ 8665 million. It has been observed that the total operating income of the company is approx $ 653 million. As per the reports it has been identified that the total revenue of the company is $ 2319 million. It has been observed that the performance has been rapidly increased.

It has been identified that the company is also active in the rental market. The total share in the retail market is approx 15 %. It can be said that in the retail market all kinds of activities are involved like selling products and services or both by the company to directly the customers. It has been observed that the retail market is a dynamic process of marketing. Proper engagement with customers can help to increase the profit volume as well as sales volume. It has been observed that the online platforms and social media are widely used by the customers. In order social media and online platforms can help to engage with the customer in large manner. Analysis of market and customer feedback will help the company to produce the services and products as per the customer's choice. Also it will help to analyze the needs and demands of the customer and how the company can satisfy its customers in a huge manner.

The second operation of the company is electricity generation. As per the reports, it has been identified that the company has captured approx 30 percent of the electricity market in the country. It can be said that the company Meridian Energy Limited can attract more customers in order to provide efficient and cost effective electricity to its customers. The arising technology in the current market will help the company to produce the cost effective electricity. Further it will help the company to expand globally as well as “United state of America and china”. It has been observed that the country “China” has a huge population and the company can easily engage with the people by providing cost effective electricity. 

4. Employment issue faced by the company

4.1 critical analysis of the situation

Employment related issues can create lots of problems that can affect the operational performance and efficiency of the company. It has been observed that the company Meridian Energy Limited has been faced with employee related issues. It can be a reason that the company is not retaining it properly. Also it has been identified that the company is hiring less experienced and fresher's employees that cannot deliver the work in a timely manner and effectively. It can be said that the employer of the company has some communication issues and “interpersonal conflict” that is why the company cannot communicate with its employees that cheat lost old problems. “Low motivation and performance” issues can be a reason that the company is facing employment related issues. It has been observed that the profitability and sales volume of the company has quite decreased due to the low productivity and ineffectively worked by the employees of the company.

Employee is a crucial part of an organization that helps to enhance the performance and efficiency of the company. It has been observed that the company has faced the employee related issues that arise by the communication gaps, low motivation level and intrapersonal conflict”. The company has not retained its employee improper manner (Cherni Martinho & Ghannouchi (2019), moreover the company is hiring a less experienced person that does not work in the proper manner. Low communication gaps in the management and also the employee create lots of issues that have been solved by the company in the proper manner. It has been observed that there are lots of barriers in the company that are not helping in the expansion of the company. The company has a low level of motivation in the management as well as employees that decrease the overall performance.

Employees play a major role in the performance and expansion of the company. In the case of Meridian Energy Limited, it has been observed that the company is facing employment related issues which can be solved by some steps which are “proper communication, identifying the problems of employees, incentives,” and some other metrics. Communication will help the company to connect every person to the management. Also the incentive scheme will help to produce competitiveness in the workplace and will increase productivity. Also the company should try to motivate the employee as well as management of the company. Further it will help to improve the performance as well as personal growth of the employee.

5. Innovation issue faced by the company

5.1 facing Problems in online retail business

The company Meridian Energy Limited is also active in the retail market and retail market is a fast and dynamic introductory. It has been observed that one of the biggest disadvantages of the retail market is that consumers have to come to shop. In the current era most people purchase products and services on social media or online platforms. It can be said that the company is not properly using the online platforms and social media platforms in order to attract and engage the new costumes as well as existing customers (Setyowati, Widayanti & Supriyanti (2021). Also it has been observed that some giant companies which are available on the online platforms are capturing the entire markets. Hence, the new and small companies are not surviving in the online platforms and social media platforms. The company has “lack of innovation culture, and fear of changes that arise. In the last two years it has been observed that the company has incest its one third of the income in the only industry and the company has fulfil the expected return that is why the company is facing some financial issues. In the online market, constant communication and connection is required to attract new customers. It has been identified that the company has a lack of communication and connection that creates lots of gaps in relation between the customer and the company.

The second operation of the company is the generation of electricity. In order it has been observed that most of the countries are facing climate change related issues and global trends in urbanization are creating the problems. As opined by the Song et al. (2019), The Company is using the tradition equipment to produce the electricity which is quite costly and does not work effectively as compared to the modern equipment. New technology in the electricity market will help to produce the cost effective electricity and can easily provide the electricity to its customers at a reasonable price. Cost effective pricing method has been followed by the company in order to produce the electricity. One of the advantages of the cost effective strategy is to allocate the resource properly, make products by saving the money and increase the activity in a good way. As per the view of Viriyasitavat & Hoonsopon, (2019), it has been observed that the company is constantly failing in the allocation of resources and saving the money. On the other hand, carbon emission is one of the major issues in the energy production industry. Most of the countries are facing global climate challenges; in context the company has faced lots of problems in order to produce electricity.

6. Industrial relations issues

6.1 Lack of communication in management

Communication is a way that helps to interact with each other, and communication in the industrial relation plays a crucial role in order to mitigate the issues that have been faced by the employees of the company. Proper communication with one department to another department helps to increase the productivity and also the effectiveness of the employee (Zhu Zhao & Bush, 2020). It has been observed that the lack of communication in the workplace creates lots of tense environments that affect the employee's performance and efficiency. Also the company has lots of communication gaps that decrease the overall performance of the company.

6.2 Lack of privacy

Privacy is very important for any industry; lack of prance creates lots of issues such as “information mishandling, breach of data security, and identifying theft.” As expressed by the Najib et al. (2021), the privacy policies must be followed by the companies in order to protect data safety and indentifying thefts. The benchmarking process has not been followed by the company that is why it cannot analyze its overall performance.

7. Recommendation

Based on the study, it could be recommended to the company to establish the pricing strategy as well as cost effective strategy in order to save the excess expenses. It has been observed that there are lots of communication gaps and low levels of motivation in the management in the company. In order to establish the communication gaps that company should try to establish the “baseline communication standards, and create safe spaces of communication”. Better communication will help to enhance the performance and efficiency of the company. For the expansion purpose the company should try to better supply chain management and cost effective transportation systems. The benchmarking process must be followed by the company to compare the other business to its business. The company can try to set the short term goals and make the strategy to fulfil the goals in the near future.

8. Conclusion

Based on the reports it has been discussed the comparative issues in the international market. It has been discussed the business relation of the company in the “United state of America and China”. The main aim of establishment of business relations is to improve the organizational performance and fulfil the future goals. Also it has been discussed that Poor financial management can arise from lots of issues such as poor financial management and overspending. Further, it has been discussed the key business and issues that have been faced by the company such as” employment issues, innovation issues, and industrial relation issues”. In the employment issues, it has been discussed the problems that have been faced due to the “communication gaps, Low motivation and performance”. In the innovation issues, it has been discussed the problems that have faced by the company. It can be said that the company is not properly using the online platforms and social media platforms in order to attract and engage the new costumes as well as existing customers. Further it has been discussed the problems that can be faced by the company due to the lack of privacy and lack of industrialization.
