Introduction to Research

Research is a procedure of discovering some kinds of new knowledge. Research is nothing but a careful consideration of a relatable study regarding any particular issue by using some kinds of scientific procedures. As per the sociologist in America the research is an enquiry to give description, explanation, prediction, and as well as the control for the phenomenal which has been observed. The methods that the research consists of are the inductive method and the deductive methods. The method called inductive research is the method for analyzing and observing an event. On the other hand the deductive method verifies the event which gets observed. Approaches of the inductive methods are in relation with the research of qualitative data, the deductive methods are in relation with the analysis of quantitative data. Research is contacted with several purposes such as, identifying the significant and the new to consumers, understanding the consumers who are existing, setting the goals witcher pragmatic in manners, developing strategies for significant market production, addressing the challenges and the barriers in any e business, putting the plan of business expansion altogether and lastly, identifying new opportunities in the business.

Different Types of Research

In this point where we are going to discuss about the types of research it can be added that the research methods are classified in a broad manner and these are the qualitative research method and another one is quantitative research method. These two methods have the properties which are distinctive and also act as the method for data collection. To discuss qualitative research, this is a method of collecting data by using the conversational procedures which are usually the questions asked in an open-ended manner. The responses against the questions then get collected and these are the data which are essential and non numerical (Ain and Willison, 2019). In qualitative methods, it includes a few types of methods such as, interview on the bases of one to one, a focus on the group’s studies on ethnography, the analysis of the text, and lastly a critical revolution of the case study. When discussing quantitative methods it can be stated that these methods have the relation with the numerical data which are in the form of measurement. This particular method uses a property by which the researchers could investigate the events or the data which has been collected.

This method also acts as answering the questions for the justification regarding the variable Richa going to be measured. It will serve to explain, predict as well as control a phenomenon. In the quantitative method it consists of the research of survey research which is descriptive and research known as correlation research. It has to be remembered that a research is effective, valuable, and useful when anyone gets valid, proper, as well as reliable information. The results which are not correct could lead the consumer to decrease in sales. There are some essential points which one should ensure about their data collection process which are as follows (Newland and Strouse, 2019). The data should be valid and logical. Test to be accurate and it should not have any kind of error in the details. The data should be reliable and should be collected within appropriate duration.

Determining the Research Type Used in Research Proposal

By using the given proposal for the research it can be noticed that it has been proposed on the well-being of school children and adolescents. It also says that there is research conducted over the past few years on the well-being of adolescents. Numerous studies have highlighted the psychological state among the youth of the United Kingdom compared to the adolescents in the other countries. Here, to discuss the objectives of this research, the approaches about undertaking a survey which is based on school students can be conducted by overarching the students' well being who are currently attending their classes. The survey should include the examination of the students' well-being in a particular school which would be identified by their nature of prevalence against the bullying procedure (Alfakih, 2017). The next one would be the assessment of the enjoyment in the school among the students and lastly examining the technology used by the students along with identification of how the risky behaviour on the internet can be prevented. After going through the whole research proposal it has been determined that the type of research which can be used by the researchers to conduct this particular research can be a quantitative research method.

Reasons for Choosing Quantitative Type of Research

Justification regarding the chosen research method which is the quantitative research method it can be stated that the research proposal has asked the researcher to gather some information by conducting an online question diary which would consist of nearly 95 to 110 questions. The things that the question includes are the basic information related to the demographics, the engagement of the students in school, and being a victim of the prevalence of bystander bullying. Significant point which should also be included in the questionnaire is the usage of the internet by adolescents which is going to lead to the increase of cyber bullying among adolescents (Alghamdi and Deraney, 2018). As per the definition of the quantitative research method, performing a questionnaire is the process of data collection which is going to serve valuable and logical information. For this reason it can be stated that the type of research which could be used regarding this research proposal is the quantitative research method. Here, in the proposal it is also mentioned that Research participants would be available to answer relevant concerns respondents might well have regarding the survey.

This questionnaire would be performed in performance components so that students can be confident of their confidentiality while finishing it. Respondents will get a short packet of material at the conclusion of the assessment, which would include a guidance leaflet against cyber bullying from the emotional abuse. The UK foundation; a Child net guidance leaflet about how to avoid detection while using the platform online as well as a cell phone; and, ultimately, a leaflet produced by the researcher. It has also mentioned in this research proposal that there should be a data collection for this particular project we should be involved in and survey performed in online mode (Andriyani and Mulawarman, 2017). There will also be an exercise based on the school map as well as there will be the collection of data depending on the academic performances of the students. Some kinds of courts will be given for each and every student which will be helpful for keeping the data secure by the main researcher. The kind of research proposal presented in this particular assignment is critically proving that this research will be done on the basis of a quantitative research method.

Reliability and Validity of a Research

The given research proposal deals with the approaches about undertaking a survey which is based on school students can be conducted by overarching the students' well being who are currently attending their classes. The survey should include the examination of the students' well-being in a particular school which would be identified by their nature of prevalence against the bullying procedure. Here, in the proposal it is also mentioned that Research participants would be available to answer relevant concerns respondents might well have regarding the survey. This questionnaire would be performed in performance components so that students can be confident of their confidentiality while finishing it (Barry and Dowling, 2017). After having a thorough study of this particular research and performing all the requirements of this assignment in the above paragraphs it can be stated that there are a few reasons where the validity and as well as the reliability of the research relies. To a better assessment of this area the utilization of the Jankowicz (2018) attributes would help in the determination on how to conduct a good research. Here, by the proposal of Jankowicz, the research method of a business can be used to determine good research.

Idea which is relying behind the research design shows various kinds of challenges which are having the logical demands for various types of data collection procedures to make the data relevant to the argument which the researcher desired to represent. Along with this there should be an adequate amount of examination performed on the thesis because of providing and establishing an accurate explanation beyond the descriptions for the survey. According to him these data should be capable of delivering the findings Richa generalized by the help of the situations faced. The ideal way of gathering information to give a specific and reliable assessment of the concept, one who can show causation whenever needed, one which will allow users to generalize the findings is considered in the survey methodology. Reliability is all about nothing but the reliability of the research along with its accuracy of the methods as well as the techniques of the research (Bendixen and Kennair, 2018). It helps in ensuring whether there are any kinds of repeated data, the accuracy of the measurements, are these going to be used in the equivalent or nearly similar context or not.
