Artificial Intelligence Implementation to Create the Image

I started by opening Microsoft Copilot and using a prompt to create an image of a “typical business student.” The image that I specified should be of a young adult in a university setting working on business-related tasks such as reading textbooks, using a laptop, or discussing with peers.

I refined my prompt by including a professional and casual outfit, a diverse classroom environment and a collaborative studying situation to mirror a real business student environment.

Reflection on the Image Created

AI-generated image of a ‘typical business student’, but it is not the picture of me. The side which has a student in the image is in learning over peers, which matches what as a business student faces. On the other hand, the AI-generated student might not be my style, background, or precise academic focus.

The Benefits and Risks of Artificial Intelligence for Students

Both the benefits and risks of Artificial Intelligence apply to students. They also support creativity by helping students visualize concepts or ideas very efficiently (Karan and Angadi, 2024). As with AI, there are risks such as misinformation, over-dependence, and ethical issues of plagiarism for plagiarism. Also, AI-generated content can be biased, reinforcing stereotypes and being (Chan and Hu, 2023) a limited or inaccurate representation of different student groups.

Part 2: Managing files and folders on the cloud

Saving Files in Microsoft OneDrive

I first signed into Office.com using my credentials. After logging in, I clicked the cloud icon within the Microsoft 365 dashboard, and I was in the OneDrive.

The second part of this activity was to click the “New” button and click “Folder” to create a new folder. I named the folder appropriately based on its content. I opened the folder and clicked ‘New’, then ‘Word document.’ I also gave the document a name to make it easily identifiable.

Collaboration with Colleagues Using the Cloud

OneDrive and Microsoft Teams help collaborate seamlessly as cloud tools. With OneDrive, it is possible to share files with particular people or groups so they can edit the document simultaneously (Microsoft, 2024). Therefore, essential group projects and assignments become streamlined; there is no more constant bouncing and emails back and forth. For this reason, cloud-based tools will become helpful for all teamwork, which means when and where we can work on shared files efficiently.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Cloud Tools for Students

Cloud computing benefits students. However, security issues involve storing sensitive papers over the Internet, and data privacy is a leading problem (Soveizi, Turkmen and Karastoyanova, 2023). Despite the risks, cloud tools will always play a role in today’s education.

Part 3: Understanding IT security threats

Obtaining Information and Creating the Slides

To create the slides, I searched valid databases on academic and cybersecurity websites for reliable phishing sources. I also got factual real-time data from government cyber security reports, Google Scholar, and textbooks. I ensured that each slide contained a key aspect of phishing: definition, consequences, and prevention.

Reflection on Design Choices

I used a professional PowerPoint template with a blue and white theme to make the text readable and clear. An IT security topic is aptly associated with blue, which is a colour that commonly denotes security and trust. To make the slides visually engaging, I used high-quality images related to phishing attacks (email scam pictures) and many more. The background text is contrasted against the background for readability, and I used bullet points for brevity. The design choices in these make the website more accessible and understandable.

Part 4: Using IT to solve business issues

Creating the Logo Using AI

I started by opening Microsoft Copilot and requesting an AI-generated logo for my business. Beyond the colours and theme, I provided specific details, such as the business (electronics) and the industry (modern and tech-inspired). Secondly, the output produced by the AI was not at par with what I would like it to be: The font style was not preferred for a professional look.

How AI Supports Business Marketing

Indeed, AI is present in modern business marketing. It can also analyze customer data and behavioural patterns to create targeted marketing campaigns for engagement. Thus, companies can adjust advertisements and product recommendations to individual customers and gain customer retention. In addition, AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants make customer service more effective by offering instant answers (Labadze, Grigolia and Machaidze, 2023). AI writes content in social media forms automatically, eliminating human effort.

Other IT Solutions to Business Problems

Businesses face challenges such as information security threats, workflow inefficiencies, and data management problems (Hammi, Zeadally and Nebhen, 2023). With cloud computing, storage can be performed in scaled-out ways, with data secured and access provided remotely. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) connects a company’s business functions, making it easy and efficient to increase productivity.
