The various stages often assist to slow down though procedure to gain in-depth understanding regarding own career choices.
Career Research
I performed the 16 Personalities Test where I answered various questions and it helped me to know my career path. I found that I have to choose career that value creativity and human connection. To choose suitable career according to my education, Career Anchor theory which was developed by Edgar Schein, has been considered. The theory directed me and facilitated me to define my career. After that, I used the prospect.ac.uk website in order to identify graduate level career pathway. As I have pursuing my degree in ‘Healthcare’, I identified different career pathways by utilising the website and found nurse is suitable job for me.

As I am interested in nurse job role, it will be duty to promote and support equality, diversity and inclusion in the organisation.
Career Motivation
I am doing a healthcare course and want to become nurse so that I can offer best services to the patient. My interest in healthcare field was motivated by sense of fulfilment, values and beliefs. I choose this field of work as it has potential to improve patient safety as well as future of healthcare. I think my capability to lead the things in the workplace is my strength that also aligns with passion to do work in public organisations. The nurse role is extremely fulfilling as it provides an opportunity to the provide support to improvement of quality and efficacy of patient care (Fahmi and Ali, 2022). I believe that my intrinsic motivation is the basis of my goal to become a nurse. Healthcare industry is a stable field because the demand and need of the healthcare professionals in all over the world including UK is on the rise.
The industry also offers competitive salary, different career growth opportunities and good work life balance. It includes job opportunities like registered nurses, public health nurses and nursing practitioners. Nurses see new situations regularly that help to achieve personal growth. Healthcare industry also offers flexible working hours like day and night shift. They organise the recreational sessions for the healthcare workers to relive stress and become more capable and resilient and this thing encouraged me a lot.
